Freight Costs and Details
One large box equals one of the following grades.

100 RTH grade plants

64 RTT grade plants.

15 PB3 grade Plants

12 Pot 14 grade plants

50 OG Grade plants
Freight rates are inclusive of all packaging and container costs. Prices listed may increase due to external charge increases beyond our control (see Terms of Trade)
All freight prices are exclusive of gst.
Despatch of Freight
Orders must be placed a minimum of five working days prior to despatch by courier or collection and up to 10-15 working days in advance during the main sales season of April to September inclusive. Order despatch is on a ‘first-in-first-served’ basis. If your order is urgent please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you, taking into account existing orders.
Catalogue orders and the majority of contract orders are despatched from the main Taupo nursery site and freight costs are calculated from Taupo. Arrangements can be made for large orders (100+ PB grade) to be delivered to our South Auckland nursery for personal collection from there, for a reduced freight rate. This is calculated on a per order basis. Orders are despatched by courier Monday to Thursday only.
Truck Deliveries
If your order is larger than 200 x PBs and you can be flexible with delivery dates and drop off point, we may be able to deliver in one of our trucks at a reduced freight rate. (North Island only – calculated on a per order basis.) This may result in a longer wait as truck deliveries need to carry several orders to the same area, in order to be economically viable. Please note this delivery option is not always available.
Rural Delivery Classifications
The Courier Company determines which areas and addresses are urban and rural delivery, and these may or may not correspond with NZ Post’s classification of a rural delivery address. The Courier company may use Rural Post Agents to deliver orders to rural addresses.
Rural Delivery Charges
There is an extra charge of $3.95 per box to have your order delivered to an address classified as Rural by the Courier Company. N.B. Not all Rural Post Agents can accommodate boxes in their vehicles and may require you to collect your order from your local courier depot or an alternative urban address supplied by yourself. E.g. Friends house, stock and station agents, service stations etc. Please contact us for details of the closest courier depot to your delivery address. N.B. Orders of 60+ x PB grade plants will need to be sent in two consignments.
Double Boxing
Plants taller that 50cm require double boxing which will incur an extra freight cost of $6.00 per box. Please note plants requiring double boxing cannot be delivered to rural delivery addresses. You will be required to supply an alternative urban address (see options above) for delivery.
Delivery Timings*
Delivery to urban addresses is generally one day after despatch. Please allow two to three working days from despatch for rural deliveries and additional days for all South Island deliveries. Peak periods such as the weeks prior to Christmas can take longer and it is recommended that orders are placed well in advance.
